Rebuilding a Dream When Sales Go Quiet

There was a time not long ago when my Etsy shop felt like it was blooming.

10–20 shirts a week.

Orders coming in.

That little “cha-ching” sound that made my heart smile.

It wasn’t just about the money.

It was about momentum.

It was proof that something I created mattered to someone else.

And then… it stopped.

My Etsy store closed.

I rebranded.

I moved platforms.

I rebuilt everything.

And now?

Silence.

No notifications.

No orders.

No “cha-ching.”

If I’m being honest, it’s been humbling. And a little heartbreaking.

Because when something is your dream — when you’ve poured late nights, creativity, and belief into it — watching it go quiet can feel personal.

But here’s what I’m realizing:

Zero sales does not mean zero value.

A slow season does not mean a dead dream.

A reset is not a failure.

I built this once before. I can build it again.

This time, it’s not about algorithms handing me traffic.

It’s about community.

It’s about connection.

It’s about telling the story behind the shirts.

LaRae & Co Threads was never just about apparel.

It’s about expression. Encouragement. Humor. Healing. Real life.

And maybe this is my reboot moment.

Not louder.

Not desperate.

Just intentional.

Maybe this is where I stop waiting to be found and start inviting people in.

Dreams don’t die when sales pause.

They evolve.

And I’m not done.

Not even close.
