About Broken String: This lightweight soft tee represents Broken String, a local rock band from Pike County, Illinois. The members have been making music together for years, performing throughout Pike and Adams counties and across Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa.

In 2024, Broken String was named a Top 20 contender on the Top Local Music Countdown on Radio Keokuk, and 2 of their songs held the number one spot for several weeks. Over the years, the band has performed at many community events and charitable benefits supporting the local fire department, Down syndrome awareness, and FosterAdopt Connect's Christmas for Kids program.

Broken String has taken the stage at events and venues including Down by the River, hosted by the Y-mans Club in Hannibal, Mo, the Clark County Fair, and locations throughout Pittsfield, Jacksonville, Winchester, Naples, Griggsville and Barry, Illinois, Palmyra and Monroe City in Missouri, Argyle, Keokuk, and Fort Madison in Iowa.

They have shared the stage with well-known bands such as Royal Bliss and Hinder, as well as local favorites Bury the Shadows, Wildfire, and Out of the Ashes.

The members have been performing music since the early 2000s, previously playing in bands such as Antidote and Jubal's Lantern.  Bronken String's music is available on Spotify, Apple Music and iTunes.
